 AMEC Member Day
including half-day Digital Workshop & Awards Ceremony
London, Wednesday 19th November

AMEC's Member Day on Wednesday 19th November consisted of three key elements that combine to offer members knowledge-share and networking opportunities. AMEC's Member Day started with a half-day workshop on measuring digital media, followed by the AGM in the afternoon and the AMEC Awards in the evening.

10.00am Half Day Workshop:
Digital Media and the Need to Measure its Impact

The client market-place is confused! Can the impact of digital and social media be measured? Our presenters will look at the client need for real advice in this area and of the AMEC member opportunity.

AMEC's 1st Business Monitor market study shows that only 5% of members are asked by their clients to measure social media in the scope of their overall work.

Is that low number because

  • The client has not yet put a priority on non print media evaluation?

  • Or could think that it is not possible to measure digital communications?

  • Or do we need to educate clients about the importance of measuring digital communications?

The workshop will be chaired by Barry Leggetter, AMEC's Executive Director. The presenters are:

v  James Warren , Chief Digital Strategist and Head of Digital, Europe at Weber Shandwick

v  Katie Paine , head of KD Paine & Associates (joining by audio & Live Meeting link from Chicago)

v  Tom Watson , Deputy Dean and Reader in Communications, Bournemouth University

Member Case Studies and Insight on Digital and Social Media evaluation will be presented by

v   Ingrid Moorkens, Ausschnitt Medienbeobachtung, Germany

v   Paul Miller, Cision, UK
