Two hundred communications professionals from 33 countries are converging on Barcelona for the 2nd European Summit AMEC is presenting with the Institute for Public Relations. It is a new record attendance for the event which is only in its second year.

The Summit starts on Wednesday 16th June. Demand was so strong that we stopped taking bookings in order that we can deliver the best possible delegate experience.
AMEC's leadership in promoting a key debate with the leaders of five global PR organisations captured the imagination of media with a flurry of news items, including the influential O'Dwyer's newsletter, PR Week and Communicate magazine.
PR WEEK quoted AMEC Board Director David Rockland as saying: ‘Until now, PR has been undervalued due to its inability to measure itself. We need to leave Barcelona with a set of standards for which every organisation should expect to be accountable and show proof that their programmes are working.'
David, Partner/CEO Ketchum Pleon Change and Global Research is Chair of the AMEC US Agency Leaders Research Group, is the Moderator of the key Barcelona debate on Thursday 17thJune.
The Public Relations Society of America will produce a special Summit podcast which they will make available to all members in the US. AMEC will also make the podcast available to its own members. More details soon.
